This week’s Missouri Beef Checkoff Chat features an interview with John Osthus, president of BlueSpring Communications and creator of a new checkoff-funded website called Farmer Freedom designed to help beef producers fight misinformation about their industry.

John unveiled the new website just last week during the Missouri Beef Industry Council board meeting held at the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association convention. He’s looking forward to getting lots of feedback about the site which will serve as a clearinghouse for information about what cattle producers are doing to help the environment, take care of their animals and provide consumers with the best protein on the planet. “If farmers aren’t free to grow food, people aren’t going to be free to eat,” John says.
